Shooting Event On Sunday

Report time for Sunday is 0700 for all teams at the ATTA Range. Teams will be briefed on zeroing, breaching familiarization and a handgun only shooting event for the purpose of squadding. (Teams will be briefed Sunday morning after the safety brief on the course of fire). The team with the highest score will choose which squadding position (number) they want for team events Monday - Wednesday. Teams waiting to shoot the course of fire will be conducting breaching Familiarization and rifle zeroing. Super Team event will have a start time of 0700 on Thursday with lowest team in the standings going first and so on.

Rule Book Changes

  • 6.4 - An inspection will be conducted during the “Zero” time for each team. Each team competing must bring all firearms and equipment being used during SPOTC.
  • 6.6.9 - Footwear: Competition footwear must be the site-issued ‘Protective Force on duty’ combat-type or “above the ankle” shoe/boot.
  • 6.6.13 - Body Armor: Five man teams will require Body Armor with a rating of Level 3. Three man teams will require body armor with a rating of Level 3A. No t-shirt armor is allowed unless site specific to Protective Force or agency. Site or agency must supply their own body armor.
  • 6.6.15 - Ear Protection: Earmuffs will be required on some events. Earmuff rating must be NNR 25 or greater. Site or agency must supply their own.

Armory Information

The NTC armory will provide the following parts in support of SPOTC

  • GLOCK Pistol – trigger springs, recoil springs, locking blocks, locking block pins, firing pins, firing pin springs, firing pin spring cups, connectors, and trigger assemblies.
  • Sig Pistol – main springs, recoil springs, firing pin springs, sear springs.
  • M4 – trigger springs, hammer springs, firing pins, disconector springs, extractor springs, extractor spring buffers, ejector springs, ejectors, extractors, gas rings.

The Rule Book states (Page 16) NOTE: Firearms stored at the Advanced Tactical Training Academy (ATTA) will be maintained in locked cases and stored with a numbered security seal on the case or box. Teams will be responsible for providing their own seals if they want this done.
